WHITEWATER RIVER CANOE OUTING

October 18/19, 2014

CAMP:

· At Whitewater Canoe Rental (WCR) just outside Brookeville, IN. Follow US 52 north out of Brookville, WCR will be on left about 1 mile out of town. Watch for OHCRA signs. They do not have campsite numbers. Primitive camping, with restrooms and showers.

COST:

· Camping is $8.00/person/night.

FRI:

· If there is interest, we can discuss paddling Friday, as the trip gets closer. We can't camp Thursday at the place we are camping Fri/Sat. Perhaps we can accommodate people at our house Thursday night. It is about a 30 minute or so drive to river.

SAT:

· Shuttle about 0900. How far and which section of river we do will be water level dependant. WCR can make their private river access available to us so we can do different sections of river. At this time I plan about a 13 mile trip.

· Pot luck dinner at ~6, with a fall food theme, like soups, chili, stews, etc. Or, anything you would like to bring.

SUN:

· At this point we plan to provide some sort of breakfast casserole type dish or pancakes and sausage, etc. Shuttle about 1000 for a short section of river based on water level.
