Camping at Beaver Creek State Park: Group Camp #1 off of Sprucevale Road. Sprucevale, Ohio is a canal ghost town but it is listed on Google Earth & Map Quest.

Camp Coordinates: N 40° 42.32' W 80° 34.97' (from Google Earth), Park Office: 330-385-3091, Trip leader cell: 330-328-7354. Cell phones are spotty in this area.

Camping: Primitive, Bring your own water. There is one pit toilet, 500 feet from our site. You will pass the toilet, on the right, just before driving into the camp parking lot. Cost is $75.00, to be split by all participants. Pay the trip leader.

Saturday: Put in at camp and run 10+ miles to the Ohio River. Below the Rt. 170 bridge there is a stretch of class 2 water, go river right. Take out, river right at a dedicated boat ramp in PA.

Sunday: Put in up river at Elkton, 11 miles or at the Iron Bridge, 3 miles, paddle back to camp.

Pot Luck Sat.: Trip leader will provide 5 lb. of pulled pork with slider buns. Bring other dishes based on the weather, i.e. picnic food, comfort food etc.

Caveats:
1.) If the river gauge at E. Liverpool reads 4.25' we are good. Below 4' we may not paddle and if the gauge is much above 5', below Rt. 170 will be class 3 and we will not paddle.
2.) The camp site is at the river bank and may be damp, depending on rain fall.
3.) The camp site is at the river bank so expect to deal with goose poop.
